Ethical conduct by Federal employees is critical in maintaining the American public’s trust in the integrity and fairness of its government. Recognizing this concern, the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), issued the “Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch” which established the ethical rules that govern Federal employees. Additionally, OGE issued regulations requiring that each new employee be given a minimum of one hour of official time within 90 days of their appointment to review the Standards and other relevant information. Whether you are a newly appointed Federal employee or you have received an orientation by another Department, we request that you accomplish this review.
The required New Employee Orientation training module will be loaded into your AgLearn account once you receive e-Authentication. You should complete the training using AgLearn. However, if you are appointed to a position where AgLearn access is not available, please complete and return the Certification of Ethics Orientation by e-mailing to Ethics-REE@oe.usda.gov
